Which types of healthcare accounts allow me access to my cash for non-eligible items?
HSAs, are the only healthcare account that offer a “cash-out” feature. Please note that there is a tax penalty for such a withdrawal. See IRS site for a detailed explanation. Once you reach the age of 65, there is no penalty for withdrawing funds from your HSA for non-qualified medical expense
