What you need to know

What happens when I meet my deductible on my CDHP?

Once you meet your deductible you CDHP plan pays all remaining eligible claims for the remainder of the plan year unless you have co-insurance responsibility.    Coinsurance is the percentage of medical costs a consumer is responsible for paying after meeting their deductible.   It is important to be familiar with your plan details so you understand if you have co-insurance requirements or not.

Coaches' Takeaway

Once the deductible is satisfied within a plan year, the insurance company covers expenses, or you may share in additional expenses up to a set dollar limit.
