With a CDHP structured with a Health Savings Account, are my medical records kept confidential?
Yes, your HSA is a bank account. As such, all of your specific member information – including your medical records – is kept strictly confidential. Anyone who may need to review your records (such as health care practitioners, a medical group, or hospital) is required to keep your information confidential. See HIPAA in the Classroom location.
