Doctor’s Office
What you need to know
Does a prescription require co-pay?
If you have not yet met your annual deductible, you will NOT pay a co-pay at the time you fill your prescription. Instead, you will pay the full negotiated discounted cost. Unlike the doctor’s office, the pharmacy will be able to adjudicate your claim in real-time, and tell you what you owe for your medication. Simply provide your debit card and pay for your prescription, then retain your receipt for record-keeping purposes, in case you are ever audited by the IRS.
