What do the abbreviations on my EOB mean?
All EOBs are not created equal, so be prepared to log onto your insurer’s website for additional information on their specific EOB. EOBs are not always the easiest to read, and are often filled with insurance industry language. There are many medical specialty areas, so please refer to the chart below.
Generally speaking, here are some acronyms you might find helpful:
