What does network pricing mean? What is a discounted rate?

Network pricing means your insurer has negotiated a discount against the full retail price your provider would have charged you if you didn’t have insurance. A network plan (for example a PPO) is a health plan that generally provides more favorable pricing and benefits for services provided by its network of providers than for services provided outside the network. The pricing has been negotiated, and your billing as reported on your EOB will reflect this discounted pricing.
